Aren't the orange tone just delicious? Delicious probably isn't the right word for it but nevertheless the golden hues is quite lovely. The weather in England, surprisingly, has not consisted of thunderous sprouts of torrential snow (will there be a blog post where I do not mention the weather? ... Possibly not!) hence the lack of eskimo-like coats. Instead I donned in a printed cardigan complete with frowny faces, yin yangs and crosses. To prevent looking to dark/sacrificial-esque I wore a red velvet dress and matching platforms to creative a more festive vibe!

Enjoy your Christmas holidays and I'll see you in the New Year!
(2014 already?!)

daisy crown/sylvie's    jumper/topshop    skirt/topshop    socks/topshop    flatforms/river island

Flashback to Spring/Summer 2013. Of course, I would not wear this outfit now as the weather is absolutely pitiful (as a Brit I feel it is obligatory that I must mention this). I call this a 'photoshoot' but the reality may have just merely two teenagers going snap-happy with a large pricey camera. I do like a good photo though! I've ventured out into Polaroids and film (maybe one day I will venture out into lomography).

Is anyone else in the excitable Christmas mood? I for one am! I have been creating a long list of presents I want to get everyone - as you grow older it is true you get more pleasure from gifting than receiving. Another sign that I am inevitably growing up... I love socks as presents! Now that is a shocker to my past preadolescence self.

london #2 | PHOTO DIARY

Second London photo diary! You can read the first one { h e r e } if you so wish! ^^ Firstly, I went via Bath so here the first photo is dedicated to what I 'Edinburgh 2.0' because it somewhat reminds me of the Scottish capital.

1. The first day there I arrived pretty late and I was extremely travel lagged from the atrociously slow train and mass amount of walking I did that day on a completely empty stomach. So here is the second day with Nick and Charlie being my 'mod models' (the wind was pretty wild that weekend). We went to Comic Con and we were all pretty excited since we had been looking forward to it for a while!

2. Approaching the venue! It looked really impressive if you ask me. Coupled with the fact it was a rather glorious day made it that much more cooler too. It was quite busy but it wasn't at all too bad really. We saw some pretty awesome cosplays and the food looked really nice. I had to refrain myself from buying food seeing as it was overpriced for what you got - next time the organizers must take pity on the poor student!

3. Next up is the obligatory bubbletea trip (as you can see I am converting my friends to become more and more Asian). I had the red bean smoothie, I absolutely love both red bean and smoothies so it seemed pretty much like a calling from the pits of my stomach/heart.

4. The next station was of course Camden Town! Camden is my favourite place out of the whole of London. It's crammed full of various little shops and food stalls from all around the world. I particularly love looking around for a unique vintage denim piece.

5. With night drawing closer we found solace from the cold in a bar/club come venue in the heart of the stables. This was my favourite part of the whole trip since there were great performances held by a lot of talented artists. Mine and Charlie's favourite was the above band called 'Sparkling' a really talented band from Germany. I am officially their fangirl!

The look of pure enjoyment.

Out of the terrace was this guy playing to only a couple. He called Charlie and I over and made some passing comments aimed at us, looking back it was quite hilarious.

6. Breakfast at a vegan cafe! Morning had arisen upon the gloomy English capital so we stumbled along back to Camden. I had a muffin and some kind of berry water and above is Charlie's vegan 'burger'. Looks like a hedge of vegetation but apparently is was quite nice!

7. Lastly, I got some new frames! Aside from the fact this is not my best photo I have kindly uploaded it being the brilliant friend I am and the fact at least Charlie looks nice (and kinda French). As pictured we got some more bubble tea (red guava slush if you're wondering) before heading to catch some trains.

It was a nice short lived little trip. One of the few cities I recommend visiting if you aren't a resident to the UK (and because obviously it is the capital). I'll see you again soon, Londreesss!

DIY ♡ studded socks

As an avid lover of socks I was quite disappointed upon finding there weren't many studded socks in any stores. So with a pair of socks and studs I already had laying around I decided to take things into my own hands! A monkey on energy drinks can do this so I won't explain the intricacies but I hope this inspires you to make your own pair of studded socks! I got all the studs from ebay & as long as you push the prongs in properly they will not stab you in the ankles!

denim dayz || outfit

denim jacket/rokit    dress/primark    shawl/topshop    flatforms/korea

Hola! It is time again where I can wear my denim jacket full-time once more! In the words of my friend "you dress like a big flower or just wear denim". I think I love this jacket mainly because it reminds me of a jacket Keith Murray wears.

I was in the process of editing photos for an outfit post, however my laptop – being its old tattered self – decided to become extremely slow. It probably doesn’t help that I still have the ‘shopper’s buzz’ and am currently throwing it into data-overload-mode by playing my recent album purchases (WHY iTunes WHY?!).

My life seems to be consumed by games, music and shopping. Not ideal for the start of the school season I must say but it cannot seem to be helped! I wake up and automatically reach for my DS. When I walk to school I listen to my ipod and I just recently purchased a brand new dress and shoes. Sigh.

I am very pleased I have somewhat of a budding album collection though! It is a rarity I ever get an album unless I am absolutely in love with it, after all, they are ridiculously priced! Plus, I have been lusting after these albums for a long time now. If you are interested, here is my favourite song of the moment from my equally favourite album of the moment!

NEW URL!

cosmic generation is no more!

little-cosmos is now where it's at! *gangsta finger click*

Basically, (for those who wish not to read the following rambles) I have changed my URL from:
www.cosmicgeneration.blogspot.co.uk
to:
www.little-cosmos.blogspot.co.uk

If you've been a fairly long follower of my blog (albeit unlikely!) you would have seen me go through the strenuous process of re-designing the whole layout! It has taking me painful hours of my life but I've got to a fairly nice standard considering I am a major HTML noob.

BUT it is not over yet! I'm still in the process of re-designing and I'm hoping I can get some of my own work/'illiustations' up for the side bar. The whole format of this blog, I think, has changed drastically from when I started. Since it has changed so much I think it's time for a new URL for the new look!

it all started off as jessicaissowalruslike to cosmicgeneration and now little-cosmos. crazy.

for small niche of you who are following my blog - thank you!
I'm still finding my feet and honestly I have a very tiny following but I am more than content with the followers I have, so I will keep marching forward and hopefully improve this blog even further for you all.

I got called a hippy whilst wearing this ensemble which doesn't sound too bad at all oddly. Embrace the bohemian! I decided that this is my 'space hippy' look since my matching silver flatforms and nails give it that lunar look! The sleeves on this top is brilliant and perfect for those who are arm conscious (bingo wings anyone?) yet still want to keep well ventilated in warm climates. I would definitely recommend you try something different and give the boho sleeves a go. The chiffon-like material feels devine on your skin - just try resist flapping your arms! I definitely felt like a bit of a pigeon...

Intially, the concept of dressing in obnoxiously florescent clothing was the image I had planned for the Summer of 2013. However, it seems I have gotten in fact more monochromatic than I previously was in winter. Nevertheless, it's nice to have that go to look and monochrome never goes out of style!
